Tara Stark x Peter Parker songfic She left without leavin' a numberTara Stark x Peter Parker songfic by susanspringguardian
Said she needed to clear her mind
He figured she'd gone back to Austin
'Cause she talked about it all the time
"Peter, it's a great college! I have to go. You understand, right?"
"Yeah, of course. Once in a lifetime experience, you should take it. Call me when you get there so I have your number, okay?"
Tara giggled and kissed his cheek. "Okay. Bye, Pete."
It was almost a year before she called him up
Three rings and an answering machine is what she got
Tara gripped the phone tightly in her hand. She wouldn't blame him if he hated her now. She'd forgotten to call so many times. What kind of girlfriend was she? She felt her heart drop as it went to the answering machine.
If you're callin' 'bout the car, I sold it
If this is Tuesday night, I'm bowlin'
If you've got somethin' to sell, you're wastin' your time, I'm not buyin'
TG Martian Manhunter #1One billion dollars, bought and paid for. Were the target Superman, the price would have been incalculable, but while this one might have basically the same powers as the Man of Steel, there was several weaknesses that were easier to exploit. Deathstroke still considered the deal for quite some time. Overthrowing nations, killing presidents, waging war on other worlds even, that he could do. He’d done. And he’d done well. But what he was being asked to do was going to involve more preparation, and more risk, than anything else he’d ever undertaken for money.TG Martian Manhunter #1 by jim-ruggeri
Sure there had been the numerous attempts on Batman’s life, but those were for fun, for sport, and the Caped Crusader had that all important rule about killing. Martian Manhunter did not share this adversity to dealing death. It didn’t come easy to him, but he was more than capable, and should he be willing, there would be no one able to stop him, not even Superman. But if there was one thing that the
TG Hawkgirl #1: Long Distance RelationshipThe Magicks of Thanagar was a tome long thought lost to history. From the Ancient Egyptians to the progressive Islamic scholars of the Middle Ages it was a book that enlightened all that came into contact with it. But unfortunately, as with most good things, they were forced to an end by tragedy. A shipwreck, off the coast of New England, sank what hopes the New World had of studying the document, and for over four centuries, it seemed as if the whole world would have to make do without its wisdom. As time passed, the Magicks were forgotten, and turned to legend.TG Hawkgirl #1: Long Distance Relationship by jim-ruggeri
Charlie Sanders had received a strange package in the mail. The archaeologist son of one of the first people to ever document the vertical facing secret passages in the pyramids of Giza, he had been quite the celebrity in academic circles for his discoveries in the Valley of the Kings. Ever since he had been a boy, his fascination with Ancient Egypt had known no bounds. He’d absorbed every book on the subject, every swee

Luke at been attempting to sleep in one of the Falcon’s R&R quarters when the scream of blaster bolts shook the whole ship. Without resorting to panic, he reached out with the force, and took a deep breath, before even rising from between the sheets. Something was wrong here. It only took a moment to storm through the corridors to the cockpit, where the two pilots were continuing their attempts to evade imperial entanglements.
“Han? What’s going on?” Luke tried to sound authoritative, but the smuggler knew him too well to ignore the slight waver in his voice. He might have become adept at using the force, but he certainly wasn’t a Jedi yet.
A TIE Fighter flew past, ion propulsion systems scouring the glass with distortion, before swerving and coming back on them again for another attack run. Beyond it, a Super Star Destroyer, one of the Empire’s finest war ships, with more cannon fodder on the way.
